Three Man Stag Do Game

Three Man Stag Party Game

All your lads need to start playing Three Man is plenty of drink, two dice and a bit of concentration. But be warned, as the game goes on the challenge for your stags is to retain that focus, otherwise things can get messy! When it comes to stag do games, it one is sure to please!

How To Play

Firstly get your stag party lads to sit around a table. Then the ‘Three Man’ must be picked and to do that, your stags must take it in turn to roll a dice. The first stag to roll a 3 becomes the Three Man. Then the game can really begin! The stag player to the left of Three Man goes first and then everyone, including the Three Man takes a turn in rolling the two dice in a clockwise direction. To remind your stag group who the Three Man is at any time they must wear a silly hat, maybe a beer helmet or a crown made of beer cans!

The Rules

Each combination of dice numbers equals a different task that must be completed before the next stag player rolls the two dice. The following are what each combination represents:

  • 1)1,1 means ‘Doubles’- The roller has the option of giving two dices to one stag or one dice each to two stags. The one or two stags then have to roll the two dice together. If it’s one stag rolling the two dice then if they get a combination like (3, 4) that adds up to 7 so they must take 7 gulps of their drink. If it’s two stags rolling a dice each then whatever number they roll, they drink an equivalent number of gulps of their drink. If the two dice roll doubles then the original roller must drink the added total number in equivalent gulps of their drink. (2, 2)(3, 3)(4, 4)(5, 5) and (6, 6) also mean ‘Doubles’ but in the case of (3, 3), Three Man must drink twice
  • 2) 1, 2 means the Three Man must drink because 1 and 2 add up to 3.
  • 3)1,3 means that the Three Man must drink because one of the numbers is 3
  • 4) 1,4 means ‘Thumb to the floor’ – The last stag to put their thumb on the table or the floor has to drink
  • 5) 1,5 means ‘Finger to the nose’ – That last stag that cops onto this must take a drink
  • 6) 1,6 means that the stag to the left of the player who rolled the dice must take a drink
  • 7) 2,3 means that Three Man drinks because one of the dice is a 3
  • 8) 2,4 means a pass
  • 9) 2,5 means that the stag to the left of the roller must take a drink
  • 10) 2,6 means a pass
  • 11) 3,4 means that Three Man drinks and the player to the left of the roller drinks
  • 12) 3,5 means that Three Man drinks
  • 13) 3,6 means that Three Man drinks but so does everyone else
  • 14) 4,5 means ‘Social’ - everyone drinks
  • 15) 4,6 means pass
  • 16) 5,6 means that the stag to the right of the roller drinks.
The only way that the poor stag that’s been chosen as the Three Man can escape his sentence is if he rolls the dice on his turn and the combination adds up to three, one of the die is a three or it’s a double three. They can choose the next stag to become Three Man.

To keep it simple instead of your stags struggling to remember each combination, just remember this;
  • A combination total of seven (3,4)(5,2)(6,1) means that the stag to the right of the roller drinks
  • A combination total of eleven (5,6) means that the stag to the left of the roller drinks
  • A combination total of nine (6,3)(5,4) means that everybody drinks
  • Any three or sum of three means that Three Man Drinks
  • Any doubles means that the roller gives them away to one or two other stags to roll again. If it’s a double three (3,3) then the Three Man drinks twice

There’s no defined winner but the objective of this fun stag party game might be to get as drunk as possible or avoid getting as drunk as your fellow stags. Your stags can play this game for as long as they want; perhaps make it a competitive game of endurance to see who the last man is standing!
