If it’s a mad stag weekend of partying and fun you’re after then look no further boys – Tullamore Town is the place for you. The largest town in County Offaly, Tullamore is under three hours from Belfast, just over 60 miles from Dublin and only an hour and a half from Galway. Overflowing with things to do, places to eat and stay as well as having remarkable nightlife, Tullamore is the place for any stag party visit!! So let’s go stags...make this one weekend you’ll remember forever!!

For the water-loving stags, there are numerous water sports available on the Shannon to suit your tastes, including canoeing, skiing, kayaking and sub aqua diving. Or grab your stags and hire a boat for the day, cruise the River Shannon, and relax before the groom-to-be’s big night of celebrations!!

For a laid back afternoon (maybe competitive for some!!), stags should participate in a game of golf. Play the 18-hole course at one of two beautiful golf courses in Tullamore, taking in the magnificent views, and show your stags who the next Tiger Woods really is!!

Stags should pay a visit to Castlepollard (only an hour outside Tullamore!!) to partake in a day of go- kart racing. Gather your stags and race against each other in a thrilling afternoon of competiveness and fun!! May the best stag win the race!!

The show off stags should partake in the skydive available...jump from 13,000 feet and separate the men from the boys in what could be the showdown of the stag do!!

Only a thirty-five minute drive from Tullamore Town, a paint balling site waits for the stags that are up for an afternoon of enjoyment and exhilaration!! During this team building activity, stags will play in teams against each other, in real battle-like games....it will be sure to get their energy pumping for tonight!!

Stags will be spoilt rotten when choosing accommodation for the stag weekend. Tullamore hosts a wide range of places to stay, including wonderful guest houses, B&B’s and three and four star hotels. Stags should take full benefit from the packages on offer from some of the available accommodation.

There are plenty of bars and restaurants available providing some pub grub for the stags who prefer a bit of traditional food. Tullamore Town offers many cuisines including the oriental taste of Asian and Chinese foods, as well as the magnificent flavour of Italian cuisine...something to suit all of the stags, so no one will go hungry!!

For a night with a difference, the stags should head to the Kilbeggan Races. Under ten miles from Tullamore Town, you will be sure to have a great night with your stags, and hopefully you’ll come home that wee bit richer!!

Keep the evening going with a few beers (or jaggerbombs!) in one of the many pubs central to Tullamore Town. Dance away to the live entertainment and DJs and whatever you do make sure the stags give the groom-to-be an unforgettable last night of freedom!

The more cultural and outdoorsy stags should definitely pay a visit to Lough Boora, where they can take a walk round the magnificent landscapes and sculptures on offer, whilst chilling out with the other stags. Stags can also cycle along the fantastic parklands, and re-energise themselves from the night before!!

The stags interested should also stop off at the heritage centre, where they can take a guided tour and find out exactly how the famous whiskey, Tullamore Dew was made. Whilst here, stags can also indulge in a light lunch before heading off again!!

The stylish stags may want to take a nosy around Tullamore’s shopping centre where they can find clothing from some of High Street’s top names including Jack and Jones and GUY Clothing.

All the movie mania stags should take a trip to the cinema to keep them relaxed for the second night of wild antics, or for a bit of light-hearted fun head ten-pin bowling with the other stags and see who can be crowned “Bowling King of the Year.”

So stags grab that groom and get him on the next bus out of wherever and come to Tullamore for a weekend full of craic!!
