Wedding Guest Outfits

08/05/2014
Welcome to week 3 of Fashion Friday! As promised I have focused on wedding-guest fashion and created 4 looks to choose from. You will notice I have steered away from plain white/ivory/cream dresses – call me traditional but, these colours are off limits in honour of the bride to be!

LOOK 1: BANDEAU BABE

The bandeau cut is an all time favourite, especially for those Spring/Summer weddings. These two dresses have been finished beautifully with a flattering waist and bust detail to make you look your best. Team this look with some soft open toe sandals and a matching clutch for an ultimate Bandeau Babe look. An optional extra would be to add a coordinating shawl.

Dresses £150 from Coast, Sandals £19.99 from New Look – various colours also available

LOOK 2: CURVACEOUS CLASS

For those of you that are wanting to flaunt your curves whilst showing a little less skin, I suggest picking a dress with a back and sleeve to it. These two dresses are prefect and both lace and floral dresses are bang on trend. These two dresses ooze class; add some heels and you are good to go!

Long sleeved Riya dress £75 from Coast, Lace Shift Dress £120 from VIP Lipsy, Grey sandals £19.99 New Look

LOOK 3: SEXY SOPHISTICATION

Take sexy sophistication to another level by opting for a bold colour in a well tailored dress, team this with a fascinator, heels and clutch for that statement look.

Sherzi Dress £150 from Coast, Fascinator £22.50 BHS, Black patent clutch £35 Aldo

LOOK 4: ELEGANT EMBELLISHMENT

My last look is personally my favourite (and one of the cheapest!) I LOVE embellishments and thought this elegant look was perfect for a summer wedding. The dress that I have chosen is heavily embellished and incorporates various pastel colours throughout; this allows you to coordinate with pale blue, gold, yellow or even white delicate sandals and matching clutch. Finish off this outfit with a soft hair-do for the effortless elegant aura. What is good about this embellished ensemble is that minimum jewellery is required, if any. Let the dress do all the talking.

Dress £99 from Miss Selfridge, Stone Sandals £24.99 New Look, Chloe hard-case Clutch £28 from Oasis.

Oh and don’t forget the confetti! – John Lewis offer cute little bags of confetti at just £3!

That’s all for this week ladies - I hope from these four different looks you have identified a style that suits you best. Weddings are a great excuse to get dolled up so my advice is to go all out and get the hair and make up done too! Have a great weekend guys and join me again next week for my holiday haul!
