MY HOLIDAY

Happy Friday Ladies and welcome back to Fashion Fridays! I had such a great time away and am home with a busted suitcase as the result of way too much shopping! If any of you are planning to visit America this summer my advice is to take as little as possible over with you, the shops are amazing, the stock is beautiful and the price tags are even prettier! My bank balance on the other hand is very ugly right now!

LAS VEGAS INSPIRATION

One of my stops was in Las Vegas to the well-known Bellagio Hotel. It really is as spectacular as they say! Did you know on an average weekend in Vegas there are 315 weddings taking place?! During my time there I witnessed some very fine evening wear that oozed elegance and perfect for the growing popular ‘full length and formal’ dress code that many of our brides are choosing for their wedding guests.

It is with this inspiration from the Bellagio that I have focused on Formal evening dresses for week 9 of Fashion Friday! Here are some of my favourite styles in order of pricing.

It’s always nice to get all dressed up and although an occasion requiring a full length dress can often be expensive you can always re-wear and re-sell.

Some great places to check out for discount evening wear are TK-Maxx and Debenhams. Or why not choose a particular style you like, buy some fabric and get a talented dress maker to whip it up? – You could literally save hundreds this way! And if you are splashing out have a look at www.net-a-porter.com - this is such a fantastic website and is home to lots of designer gowns, from Kate Moss to Victoria Beckham!

ADD SOME STYLE

I personally would recommend open toe sandals, a hair up do and minimal jewellery look best with evening gowns but it is entirely up to you depending on the look you are going for! (Necklace below: Jon Richard at Debenhams £20)

Join me again next week for some more of Fashion Fridays by Anna.

Have a great weekend girls!
