Garden Tea Hen Party

14/08/2014
Welcome to Week 3 of Themed Thursdays! Step back in time with a garden tea party with your hens! Enjoy vintage china, cupcakes, picnics and cute bunting - perfect for a hen party activity with a difference

GARDEN TEA PARTY

If you want to do something a little different or if a night out on the town is not your cup of tea (pun intended) then why not have a Garden Tea Party in the comfort of your own garden. This type of hen party also allows the older members of your family to join in; no one has to be left out and can also be budget friendly.

1) Tea Party Decorations

Extend your table and throw on a table cloth - if you don't have one handy, fabric shops sell cheap spotted, floral and striped material by the meter. String up some bunting or paper lanterns on any nearby trees and use your own garden flowers to decorate the tables; this is also a great way of cutting down costs. The idea is to bring in as much colour as possible to really make your tea party a whimsical wonderland and something your guest will never forget.(Below)Pink pom pom decorations £6.99 (pack of 3) available from partydelights.co.uk

2) Garden Party Drinks

Give your Garden party that outdoor summer feel with glass mason jars and a punch jar filled with your favourite mocktails or cocktails. (Below) Mason Jar drinking glasses with handles £9.99 available on amazon.co.uk. Striped paper straws £2.95 for pack of 25 available on prettylittlepartyshop.co.uk (available in various colours). 3 Gallon Glass beverage dispenser £32.99 available on amazon.co.uk . Here are just a few of the hundreds of cocktail and summer punch recipes available online. Perhaps it would be a good idea to offer a choice of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in order to insure all of your guests are catered for.
