Peppermint Tea


Peppermint tea is not only minty and refreshing, but it also has some key components that make it a good cure for hangovers!

The reason that peppermint tea is huge benefit to you is that it’s a natural digestive, reducing bloating during your recovery. Whilst it won’t be assisting your liver in cleaning out the alcohol from your system, this tea will settle your stomach and reduce nausea.

Chamomile Tea


Just like the peppermint tea, Chamomile Tea will soothe a sore tummy by reducing bloating and eliminating nausea.

This tea has strong ant inflammatory properties, with the dried leaves from the Asteraceae plant being highly effective in treating stomach and intestinal cramps.

With a distinct taste, Chamomile tea isn't to the taste of everyone, so adding a little honey will sweeten the tea nicely, as well as giving your body a sugar boost! Natural sugars are important for the immune system, so having honey in your tea will give your body a push in the right direction.

Ginger Tea


Ginger tea is a superb way to help hangovers. Traditionally, Ginger is a natural substance which helps nausea from motion sickness. This is because ginger acts as an anti-inflammatory within your digestive system and this helps to block your serotonin receptors in the stomach.

So, to make this hangover remedy — finely cut up a ginger root and boil it in water. You can strain off the bits and simply enjoy the delicate tea, or you can munch up the bits of ginger too. Either way, you’ll be left with a terrific herbal remedy which will settle a sore stomach.

Hot Water Honey Lemon


The fact that honey is jammed packed with natural sugars, namely sucrose, these help your body in boosting your metabolism and getting rid of alcohol and other toxins and bi-products from a heavy night of drinking. Honey is also a great source of potassium, which your body looses a lot of during drinking, and needs replacing urgently.

All of the vitamins in the lemons will help replenish those which you will have lost through drinking and the water will assist you in rehydrating. The big bonus of this natural hangover cure is that it is incredibly tasty too!

To make this easy drink, simply boil some water — slice up a lemon and have some honey at the ready. Put a few tea spoons of honey in the bottom of a cup, then pour on the boiling hot water and stir continuously until all of the honey has dissolved. Then get the lemons and put them in with the hot boiling water and mix it up thoroughly.

Milk Thistle Tea


Milk Thistle is already an extremely popular natural herbal supplement which people already take to help prevent or cure a hangover.

Milk Thistle can be found in either tablet form, powder form and even liquid drop form. It is useful as a hangover cure as it assists in relieving the symptoms associated with drinking too much alcohol.

Although Milk Thistle Tea has been touted as a good hangover preventer, the studies that back up this idea aren’t very reliable. With that said, the tea is much better suited in the role of damage limitation, where you can drink it to minimise the effects of the hangover.
