Coastal Hen Party in Northern Ireland

Coastal Adventure Hen Party in Northern Ireland

Thinking of getting away from it all with your besties? Then why not consider packing your suitcases and heading on a coastal adventure around the famous Causeway Coastal Route? The north coast has a huge offering for hen parties and girl groups that want to have a fun and unique experience together!

I honestly believe that there is no better stress relief and escapism known to man (and woman) than the sea air. This could be the perfect chance to experience breath taking scenery and the brisk coastal winds while you and the girls let the stresses of daily life drift away.

Activities on the Coast

During the day when you’re up north for your hen party, you should definitely join the Coasteering NI team for an afternoon of fun by the cliffs and water. I went coasteering for the first time two years ago, and it still feels like it happened two months ago!

We pier jumped and free fell into the ocean, climbed over boulders and through caves, and trust fell into shallow depths. The cold water and sharp winds made the experience exhilarating and brought our group closer together as a team. We helped each other verbally and physically to get through the course and were in stitches of laughter when we weren’t screaming in the icy water.

If you’re thinking of planning an active hen party activity, I highly recommend it as something wonderfully different, and you’ll have memories to last.

Stay by the Sand

After your exhilarating afternoon, you can experience the fabulous views of the coastline (including the serene landscape of Rathlin Island) from the comfort of the Marine Hotel. Located right at the sea front, the scenery is second to none.

The Marine Hotel boasts a fabulous restaurant, fully licensed bar and bistro, and is proud to serve Costa Coffee on site – perfect for coffee lovers (or caffeine addicts – whichever you choose to call yourself) or a boost to get you through the morning-after. The hotel also offers various packages for hen parties including dining and entertainment options.

Located adjacent to the hotel are the Ballycastle lawn tennis courts, perfect for a bit of light exercise and fun with your group of girlfriends. Or if you prefer a golf swing, then the Ballycastle golf club is a mere 10 minute walk from the hotel; so go coastal and make Ballycastle your accommodation choice.

Go Nautical

The nautical theme has become timeless, so why not go all out and have your ladies stay in theme with a stylish sailor inspired outfit? You could mark the special occasion with a sailor gift bag filled with cute keepsakes.

I can’t recommend the north coast enough as a perfect coastal adventure for your hen party. Whether you want to rest or run, swim or sunbathe (ok, perhaps a little optimistic, but you never know when we’ll get lucky with a heat wave!), the north coast offers a huge range of active and relaxing activities and experiences, as well as some of the most stunning scenery you’ll find in Northern Ireland.

So get the girls together, and head up north for an unforgettable coastal adventure hen party.
