Spooktacular Hen Party Ideas

If you are lucky enough to have a hen party in October then this Spooktacular hen party theme would be perfect!

I love Halloween; however since I have gotten older I never have the excuse to dress up. There are endless ways to make this the most memorable hen party for your Bride-to-be.

Haunted Destinations

If you want to go away for your Halloween hen weekend then get yourself to a haunted destination. If you want somewhere super scary then Edinburgh maybe the place to go. It’s said to be one of the most haunted locations in the UK because many of the buildings date back to the 12th Century. If you do visit, be sure to visit the Edinburgh Vaults. There are a number of chambers that you can look around, formed in the arches of the South Bridge and rumour has it, the vaults were used to store the bodies of those murdered by serial killers Burke and Hare for their medical experiments.

Keep it Local

If you do not wish to venture so far from home them I’m sure you all know somewhere where you wouldn’t choose to go by yourself on a dark night. During the Halloween period there are usually activities put on by local councils, societies or establishments such as ghost walks and or the chance to spend the night in a haunted house.

Halloween Cocktails

To keep with the theme and really get the girls in the mood, why not make some Halloween cocktails? These cocktails don’t have to be complicated, check out our hen party cocktails for delicious looking cocktails and creative ways to serve them!

Halloween Costumes

As this is a double celebration, go all out for your costume and put in the extra effort with make-up and effects! There are some fantastically creative hen party ideas to be found online that don’t necessarily have to be expensive or take a lot of time to put together. Costumes have gotten better and better over the years with some really creative and funny costumes to be found online, so there is no excuse for not fully embracing the occasion.

Girls usually tend to go for the more sexy cute outfit but let’s face it it’s not very Halloween looking is it and there is nothing scary about a sexy sailor. Since this is a hen party the perfect costume would obviously be ‘The Bride of Frankenstein’ or ‘Corpse Bride’.

Daring Make-up

Halloween makeup can make or break a costume. Imagine the Joker or a vampire without the white face paint, it just wouldn’t have the same effect would it? If you get the make-up right then a simple black hooded cape or low-value costume can be totally transformed into something brilliant. Face painting kits can be very inexpensive so save your expensive make-up for every day and pick one up in your local pound store!

Hopefully you have all the inspirataion needed to create the perfect Halloween hen party looks!
