Gothic Gorgeous Hen Party Ideas

By

I absolutely love the Gothic look as I am a major fan of black!  I do like to keep my look glamorous and girly however. This theme is particularly fitting with Halloween just around the corner but it can be used at any time of the year!

Gothic Inspired Make-Up

As we are now in the depths of Autumn, make-up stores and beauty features within fashion magazines are full of darker tones of lipsticks and eyeshadows.

Some brands have even brought out black lipsticks in order to help us all release our inner Goth! If black is a bit too daring for you then you can still achieve the same look with a dark burgundy or deep red lip. The trick with this look is to keep the skin pale and matte, so put away those bronzers and highlighters and use a foundation that is a few shades lighter than you would normally use, this way your darkened features will stand out even more and create more of a dramatic impact.

Below is a Youtube tutorial which will help you create your perfect Gothic Glam look!

What To Wear

Gothic glamour is a trend that’s dominating fall and winter fashion! Designers and High Street brands are embracing all things dark and moody this season.

You can work gothic glam touches into your outfit in varying degrees, depending on how much drama you want to add to your look. Lace is probably the best choice if you want to incorporate some gothic glamour into your look. Darker colours are all in for this season, ranging from black to deep burgundy!

Gothic Accessories

Typically gothic jewellery depicts various symbols such as crosses and skulls but all you need to complete your look is a statement piece of costume jewellery consisting of black or ruby stones. Why not go all out with this look and wear lace gloves or a studded cuff?

This look can be as dramatic or a subtle as you want it to be. Look to the catwalks and fashion bloggers for some inspiration as Gothic Glam is everywhere this season!
