DIY Hen Party Ideas On Budget

Hens Do DIY

You don’t need to go out to have a hen party; after all, it’s about spending time with your besties and taking some time to chill out before your big day. If budgets are tight (and let’s face it, if you’re getting married they probably will be), our top tips for throwing a hen at home could be right up your street.

If your hens are handy with a glue gun, and you’re having a wedding with lots of handmade elements, the hen party is the perfect chance to craft those finishing touches. Why not set up a production line and see what they can create? From favours to invites, your girls can have a giggle while they help you make your dream wedding a possibility. Everyone will also feel super involved, and take some of the pressure off the bride.

Once the crafting is over, an ‘at home’ cocktail making session is the perfect way to unwind. A few bottles of liquor, mixers and lots of ice and fruit is all you need to get started. With easy step by step guides online, you’ll be mixologists in no time!

We love the idea of a pyjama party as an old school throwback, and it’s perfect for a lazy weekend of pampering before your big day. Pile into the lounge with loads of duvets and pillows and set up camp.

Make it a proper girls weekend with lots of hair and face masks so you’re all looking your best for the wedding. Get a few girly films (Pitch Perfect, Bridesmaids and Bride Wars are our favourites) and some box sets and settle in for the evening. Pour some drinks and laugh about your memories as a girl squad.
