Spring Fling Hen Party Fashion

By

Spring time always holds the promise of fresh starts and new beginnings, and with the – hopefully! – warmer weather on the way it can be the perfect time to host your hen party as you create a new beginning in your own life. Whatever you choose to do, be it an outdoor adventure, an elegant weekend with friends or a girlie night out, there’s many fun ways to bring a little bit of the spring season into your hen party look.

River Island - Pink Lightweight Trench Coat

Pink has always been the go-to feminine colour of choice, but this season it’s being remodelled into a more grown-up version of the classic candy pinks from childhood. It’s been transformed into a dusky hue with warmth and depth to be paired with earthy, neutral hues and paler shades. Try these sumptuous shades in fluid silhouettes, such as a dusky pink flowing trench coat form River Island - fabulous for throwing on over your dress on a spring evening at the end of a hen party. Team a block colour piece with painterly spring time prints for a fresh, chic look or for a more striking look wear a single dusky pink from head to toe for a standout hen outfit.

Ted Baker - Samra Floral Swirl Skater Dress

The epitome of spring time fashion has got to be the floral print dress. This Ted Baker dress, above, is elegantly chic but also has the fun modern twist of thick black industrial straps, with metal adornments - similar to the industrial clip on the strap at the back of Brie Larson’s Versace dress she wore to the SAG Awards 2016. The rose metallic nature of the straps saves them for being too harsh a contrast with the soft dress, whilst the black trim around the waist creates a flattering silhouette. Keep accessories simple and team with black heels to keep the strength of the colour running through your look, or pick a colour of one of the flowers in the print for a fun, bright outfit look.

River Island - Pink Pointed Lace-Up Flat Shoes

A fun way to add a little dash of feminine spring time into your outfit is through your shoes. Lace up pumps are all in right now, in bold bright reds and blues. This pale pink pair from River Island with metallic detailing are gorgeous and perfect for a spring time outfit. Wear them to a day time hen party, such as out to lunch or a show, with cropped cigarette trousers in a pale stone or cream to show off their detailing. Or wear with a pleated midi skirt of the same shade for a quirky stylish look. Keep jewellery delicate and gold to match the gold heels of the pumps, adding a metallic sheen throughout your look.

ZARA - Floral Print Midi Skirt

Whilst this Zara skirt seems like a very stereotypical pick for a spring theme it can be transformed in many different ways. Very similar in print style to Dolce and Gabbana, the elegance of the floral design can easily create a very lady like outfit for a refined hen party event. If you’re after something with a bit more of an edge team the skirt with a leather biker jacket and loose tousled waves for a cool contrast for a late night hen do or dinner. For a fun, bright twist trying picking out one of the colours in the skirt, such as the zesty tangerine and style your skirt with a pair of bright colour pop heels of the same colour for a quirky statement.

With spring time as the time for transformation why not use it as the perfect excuse to also transform your wardrobe? A hen party is the perfect reason for a new outfit or accessory so go ahead and treat yourself to something pretty to wear. Add little bit of the new spring season into your hen party look, whatever you get up to.
