New Heel Heights Hen Party Fashion

Of course, every girl loves a fabulous pair of high heels but fashion is now starting to realise that to look good with a bit of height doesn’t have to mean sore ankles and pinched toes after a long night out. The block mid heel is on the rise and is the ‘It’ shoe of the season, coming in all colours, fabrics and styles to make your hen party outfit pop.

A great way to keep your mid heels looking glamorous for your hen party is to find a pair with a sparkly, shimmering or metallic edge. Topshop’s Josephine shoe, with an elegant, retro flare heel is a real statement shoe that can set off any outfit. With the almond toe softening the look of the shoe keep the look girlie with soft shell colours in pinks, greys and creams. Try teaming the shoes with a midi length pleated skirt and chiffon blouse to go for a Romantic feel. If you’re planning to add more metallic to your look keep the gold muted like the shoe itself – Reiss’ Ona top in gold is the perfect matching companion to wear up top with a flowing skirt.

For an extra quirky twist on the block heel this Next pair offers it up in cylinder form. This trend has been floating about for a while now, but this is the season it’s taken off, with cylinder shaped heels everywhere from Topshop to M&S. Team this bright blood orange pair with crisp white to make them really stand out and tie the look together with a bright lip. Or if you’re daring go orange head to toe – wear cropped cigarette trousers to show off your shoes. If out in the afternoon for your hen party team your colour block look with black sunglasses and a black handbag for a striking end look.

This floral pair of block heels can be elegant as well as comfy. Whilst the height of these Dune shoes might be slightly taller than a mid heel at 90mm the chunky heel makes them comfortable and really allows you to show off the multi coloured bubble print to its finest. Even though they are simple in design they are sophisticated in style and perfect for a spring or summertime hen garden party. Team with flowing dresses in white, pale lemon or pink with lace or laser cut detailing to add a contrast to the painterly pattern of the shoes. These could even be worn to style up a pair of boyfriend jeans, worn with a bright top and the matching clutch bag.

In the run up to festival season this pair of mid block heels from Zara are ticking all the boxes. With high lace ups, fringe detailing on the front, and pompoms fluttering at the end of the laces these shoes are bang on trend right now. Wear these with loose dresses in folk styles prints – look to Zara and Mango for the soft flowing fabrics and larger silhouettes that can easily be defined with a black suede belt. Keep the fringe theme running throughout your look with a suede fringed bag from Accessorize or New Look for an earthy, vintage feel suitable for an outdoor hen parties, be it a back garden BBQ or rooftop bar.

So ladies, give the block mid heel a go for your next hen party and stand out from the normal high heels court shoes. It’s the perfect new shoe for a night out with the girls as it’s both stylish and comfortable enough to party the night away – what more could you want?
