Glamping Is All The Rage In 2018

By

With hen party planning in full swing, more and more girls are opting for a “festival” vibe on the all important hen weekend away with the girls.

This blog will explore exciting hen party ideas to spice up your glamping weekend, along with a host of fun activities to help ensure there’s never a dull moment!

First of all… what is glamping?

Glamping has both similarities and differences to camping and is wildly known as “glamourous-camping”. This means you can trade in roughing it for a weekend on sleeping-bags and rustic campfires in exchange for a more comfortable and stylish experience. In place of sleeping bags will be fold up mattresses or bunk beds, whilst rustic campfires are replaced by electric wooden stoves which can cook your food and charge your iPhone.

Now that your sold on the idea of glamping, here are a few neat additions that could make your glamping experience truly unique.

Go Boho

An easy way to add glamour to your glamping escape is to go for an apt Bohemian Theme. Dressing up in flower crowns and light clothing will help you and your girls become fully immersed in the experience. All the cute props of a boho weekend are usually onsite, including stylish dormitories, camp fires and mini bars with bunting to help create the perfect backdrop.

Afternoon Tea

An Afternoon Tea set in the great outdoors can be truly momentous, as the combination of nature and nurture will make for compelling instagram pics! There is also a certain level of versatility with a glamping tea party, as there are a few different themes you can go for.

The first is a vintage tea party, using decorative china, flowered tablecloths and chic centrepieces to transport your girls back in time! A 1950’s theme goes hand in hand with this tea party idea, so look the part with some tea and cake and enjoy the celebrations.

An alternative to the vintage tea party is to go for something a little more worldly! A Mad Hatter Tea Party springs to mind, as there are only a couple of Alice and Wonderland props that you need to add in order to get the desired effect. Pairing this with themed pastries and treats, you can have a spellbinding afternoon in the countryside.

Spa

If you’re after an amazing star-gazing experience, you can stay in special bubble domes at Free Range Adventures on Finn Lough. In these pods, you and your girls can stay in the warmth whilst also having the best seats in the house to view the stars!

Aside form the glamour and comfort of the affair, there is also the freedom of exploration that a traditional camping trip can afford a group. A wealth of exciting activities are available which guarantee that a hen party was worthwhile.
