Getting Fit

Getting fit for 2015 and are you struggling to stick to your plan? Ciara has got ideas on how make your fitness resolution last all of 2015! Also included is fitness clothing that is not over your budget and hen party activities that will not spoil the hen's exercise routines!

Getting Fit for 2015

Firstly let me start off by wishing everyone a Happy New Year as this is my first Themed Thursday blog of 2015

Resolved to exercise and get in shape? Join the club.

How many times have you declared on January 1 that you'll go to the gym every single morning at dawn? Or that you’ll lose 10 pounds, perhaps in preparation for the big day. If every year you make a big, sweeping resolution, you're probably setting yourself up for disappointment. In my opinions the best way to get fitter and lose those few extra Christmas pounds is to do something fun which you enjoy so that you don’t actually feel like you are working out. Well I’m hoping that it’ll work because I do not like going to the gym.

Looking good

First things first, if we have to work out we have to look good doing it or what’s the point lol. There are so many high street stores and supermarkets doing their own range of super stylish gym gear so no matter what your price range you can still good in your gym gear, even if you choose not to exercise. F&F Active Mixed Print Leggings £15 available from Tesco. Nike Heritage Tote £30 available from very.co.uk. F&F Active Quilted Panel Lightweight Jacket £29 available from Tesco. Black Active No Excuses Mesh Panel Vest £9.99 available from New Look. Asics GT 2000 2 Lite-Show Ladies Running Shoes £69.99

Getting Active

There are so many places to go in Ireland to do outdoor activities so why not try something a little different for your hen party and help your friends stick to their new year’s resolution at the same time. It might not sound like the most fun idea but you don’t have to take yourself too seriously and it will be so much more fun with a group of your friend and who knows, they might even thank you for it. Here is just a small selection of the great door activities to be found on your doorstep.

The Jungle NI Moneymore, Co Derry

Activities include Paintball, Clay Pigeon Shooting, Archery, Zorbing alongside the recently introduced Irelands first Tree Top high Wire Adventure Course – a high ropes course with a difference!

Hen Party Idea

I hope this has given you some inspiration on how to stick to your get fit resolution and have fun at the same time. It may not sound like your ideal hen party but at least you are staying active and just think how much nicer that glass or two of wine will taste after all that fresh air.

Until next week...

Have a great weekend...
