Fitness And Exercise Clothing

Happy Friday Ladies! Welcome back to Fashion Friday by Anna. This week we're getting into gear with outdoor activity and stylish gym attire - it's all the motivation you'll ever need to get some fitness and outdoors into your lifestyle!

One of my favourite past times, no matter what the weather is like, is going for a nice long walk. I just love being outside and exploring the fantastic landscapes Ireland has to offer us! Recently I dragged my boyfriend up Slieve Donard in Newcastle Co. Down, we had such a fantastic day, but I have to admit I dedicated a shopping trip simply to pick a suitable outfit for the hike! I was surprised at the wide range of sports and activity gear that is available in the high-street shops these days. So with this in mind I have picked out some of my favourite activity clothing for you.

Sporty Outdoor Clothing

When you are taking on an outdoor activity, the key thing to remember when getting dressed is layering. Make sure to have a vest, a top and a jacket, so that no matter what the weather you can remove or add an item of clothing to make your adventure as pleasant as possible!

- North Face Flyweight Hooded Jacket is £75 and comes in various colours, so choose a colour that goes best with most of your gear, it is lightweight and rainproof and an absolute essential in my eyes.

- It is so important when tackling a mountain climb that you have appropriate footwear to support your ankles and that have good grip, these Salomon Walking Shoes are a great investment at £70 from Millets – TK Maxx is another great store to find great mountain walking shoes at great prices. Don’t forget to bring spare socks along too!

- These Domyos Shape Leggings are just £14.99 in Decathlon these have a flat stomach effect band – always a bonus and will adapt to your body temperature when walking.

- Long Sleeved Thermal Top £7.99 from Sports Direct is a bargain layer to add to your outfit.

Trendy Gym Clothing

Whatever activity you are taking part in indoors, wither it be a spin class, yoga or a workout in the gym, it is important to feel comfortable and unrestricted by your clothing. Choose clothing that makes you feel confident and supported in the right places. Sports Direct is the best place to find bargains for gym attire in my opinion and here are just a few finds from in there:

- Nike Dual Fusion Fitness Trainer £47.99. These Neon trainers are bang on trend and super comfy too.

- Nike Sports Definition Bra £22.99 – feel supported and comfortable when bouncing around.

- Adidas ClimaLite T-Shirt £17.99 – no yucky sweat marks here!

- Nike Leggings £18 - perfect for spin class.

Exercise Essentials

Pink IPod Running Arm-Band is just £14.99 at Argos and is available in various colours. (much cheaper than in the Nike Sports Shop)

Nike Water bottle - available in most spots shops but is cheapest in Sports Direct! Available in various colours – I own this bottle and love it, even if you throw it in the car after your workout there is no spills!

Seafolly Goddess Twist Swimsuit £88.99 at Surfdome.com. This swimsuit is supportive, comfortable and stylish; there is absolutely no reason why you should feel the need to squeeze into one of those awful unflattering swimsuits that flatten your best assets! Yuck!

Sports Bag £30 From Adidas – get 10% off your first order online!

Casio Waterproof Watch £14.99 from Argos – because you aren’t going to wear your best Michael Kors watch now are you?!
That's all for this week ladies! Until next time..
