Autumn/Winter Beauty Tips

Hard to believe it, but Autumn is almost upon us! Thankfully, a new season doesn’t just mean making over your wardrobe, but to overhaul your beauty routine, ensuring you’re looking tip top for all the hen parties on your autumnal calendar! Take a look at the Top 5 tips to achieve a hen worthy beauty look this Autumn.

1) Autumn/Winter Makeup

It’s time to ditch the statement lip because eyes are the focus this season. Go all out with the drama by adding false lashes, go wild with your eyeliner pen and add intense colours to your usual eye shadow palette to ensure you make lots of eye contact on hen night.

2) Fake a Tan Year Round

There’s an easy way to both keep your skin hydrated in the colder months and keep your tan going all year round. Simply use a gradual tanner like Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Natural Bronze Gradual Tanning moistuirser. Top it up every 3-4 days or as often as needed on the countdown to the hen do to ensure you’ll have beautifully glowing, bronzed skin on the night.

3) Autumn/Winter Skincare

Skin can get super parched in winter thanks to the combination of icy temps outside and hotter than hot heating inside so you’ll need to overhaul your skincare routine to ensure it stays at it’s dewy best. Excessive scrubbing can dry the skin out so be sure to only use a gentle scrub no more than twice a week. To lock in extra hydration you can also use a gel such as Skin Ceuticals B5 Hydrating Gel. Use it daily along with your regular mosituriser to keep skin glowing all winter long!

4) Healthy Winter Hair

Just like your skin, your hair also needs special attention in the winter months. I recommend using a homemade hair mask made with banana, honey and olive oil. Pop the mask on for 20 minutes before washing it out. The result will be super soft and shiny hair that’s the envy of your fellow hens.

5) Fall 2014 Colour Trends

Expect a lot of bright and brash shades, like fuchsia pink and royal blue in the A/W 14 colour palette. The easiest way to incorporate them is with a pop of colour on the nails or on the lips or if you’re really daring blend a flush of electric colour in to your usual smoky eye so you can be bang on trend at the hen party.

Have a fabulous A/W and don’t forget to wrap up warm!
