5 Manly vs 5 Deadly Stag Do Cocktails

By

Here are 5 Manly Cocktails and 5 Deadly Cocktails for you and the lads to pay attention to.

Manly

Dirty Martini

The signature drink of agent 007! The potent Dirty Martini consists of 6 oz of vodka, a dash of dry vermouth, 1 oz of olive juice and 3 olives. Once you have the ingredients, pour them into the shaker and shake them in order to make them just like James Bond likes them.

Old Fashioned

This manly classic is one you’ll want to whip up on the stag. To make the “old fashioned” you’ll need 2 oz of Bourbon or Whiskey, 2 splashes of Bitters and water, 1 tablespoon of sugar and a lemon or orange wedge. This is a stirred cocktail, so pour all the ingredients into your glass and stir—adding ice and your wedge to finish the drink.

Rusty Nail

This simple and rustic Scottish cocktail is one of the manliest beverages around. The name “Rusty Nail” comes from the legend that hardmen from Scotland back in the day used to stir these drinks with rusty nails! As well as being manly, all you need is scotch and Drambuie to make it. Stir them in the glass and add a lemon wedge or ice to take the stiffness out of it. Or don’t, depending on how manly you are.

Godfather

To make a manly cocktail worthy of a mafia don, you’ll want to learn how to make the “Godfather”. This potent cocktail is another easy one to make, as all you’ll need is 1.5 oz or scotch or bourbon with .75 oz of Amaretto almond liqueur. Stir the drink slightly and add ice and lemon to take the bite out of it.

Tom Collins

The Tom Collins is the perfect for the lads in your group that love gin. This cool summer beverage is super simple to make, with gin, lemon juice, sugar and carbonated water needed to get the desired effect. For an added zing to the drink, add a lemon wedge and sip under the summer sun.

Deadly - Warning, these drinks are some of the most alcoholic beverages out there!

Traditional Absinthe

The name “traditional absinthe” in and of itself reads like a huge warning sign, and for good reason. Absinthe will put your lights out quick, so ensure to sip and take your time with the drink in order to see how it takes hold of you. To make this monster cocktail you need 2 oz of absinthe, 6 oz of cold water, 1 or 2 sugar cubes and a slotted spoon. The slotted spoon is need as you’ll sit the ice cube on top and pour the water through it, effectively using it as a strainer to dilute the absinthe a tad.

Black Russian

This formidable looking drink is actually a very tasty one! It’s similar to the white Russian but minus the cream, using just coffee flavoured liqueur and vodka. This easy made cocktail looks deadly, and packs quite the punch without the cream weighing it down.

Long Island Iced Tea

This cocktail sits like a snake in the grass! Although the “Long Island Iced Tea” is commonly drank, what you may not know is that it is also one of the most deadly. It gets its name from its resemblance to ice tea (not the taste), consisting of the potent combination of vodka, rum, gin, tequila and triple sec! This serious concoction has around 22% higher alcohol content than most cocktails!

Zombie

The aptly named “Zombie” cocktail has claimed many a complacent victim! You’ll have to be careful when drinking this one, cause the effects can be zombie like. There’s a whole lot of Rum in this one, with white, gold and dark rum, all put together with some apple brandy to complete the deadly concoction.

Aunt Roberta

This has to be the most alcoholic concoction I have ever set eyes on. Made purely of different alcohols, this drink should be taken with care. Consisting of absinthe, gin, vodka, brandy and blackberry liqueur, this has to be one of the deadliest cocktails in the world. It’s apparently supposed to be tasty, giving even more reason to consume with caution.
